—The XXI went out to dinner with GB the other night. Of course we talked about R and his new girlfriend. I don’t think I’ve ever gone through a conversation without GB talking about R…
Regardless, we were on our way back to JC’s house to drop me off and I decided fuck it; I told her I’d been really worried about W. I know I haven’t talked about W in a while, and I’ll fill you in after this initial story…
Anyway, I’d told GB I was worried about W. Then, I told her for whatever fucking reason (whatever fucking voodoo she works) that I still thought about W, that I still have feelings for him, and I’m not sure what to do with them.
GB doesn’t give me opinions much, or act like she hears a lick of what I’m saying. But, this time she kind of laughed while she was driving and went, “I was wondering when we’d get to this.” We talked a bit about it. She mentioned that she was pretty sure JC flinched when I said W’s name…
But, the conclusion we came to is, because of how everything with him played out and because of how abruptly it ended, there were feeling there that are just never going to go away. Feelings that I never dealt with. And, it doesn’t mean they’ll affect anything. It doesn’t mean I love JC any less. They’re just there and they’re probably not going to go away.
W will always be my one that got away, and GB figured that was something that would always bother JC. My thing though is, I think maybe it bothers him but I also think he knows I’m happy. And, I think he’s just chosen to not ask about it. Everyone is entitled to feelings, and I know JC gets jealous of shit. But I don’t think he wants to push his luck with the W thing, and I think he’s very aware that things happened very quickly. We’re happy together. Maybe I have residual feelings for W (maybe more than residual), but it doesn’t mean I love JC any less…and I don’t. I absolutely fucking adore the kid, more than I ever have adored anyone that actually likes me back. I’m so happy with him. But, W is in the back of my head from time to time…usually when I’ve seen him recently, and I think that’s just something I’m going to have to learn to deal with until I maybe, eventually, get passed it.
And, as long as JC wants me back, I want him. There’s nothing complicated about that part. And even if he decided he didn’t want me back, I’d still want him. I’d be heart broken, but I’d want him.
MM and I have talked about this in the past, she made sure I knew it was okay to have left-over funky feelings…or just feelings in general. MM is also very adamant that some crap that’s going on with this chick W likes is straight up karma for how shitty he was to me.
But, yeah, MM and I hadn’t talked about how I’ve felt about him recently…other than being fucking pissed off. I told her all about his too long hugs and angry words and bitterness (which you can read about below). Just, something about him has seemed so off. I guess it’s that chick. The general theory is that he knows, at least on some level, that this is some karmic shit and because of that he’s never going to get the girl he likes. It’s a very similar situation, they talk all the time and she thinks he’s cute, but she just doesn’t want anything. I’m just better at getting into the pants of the person I like than he is…also, I was always more self-destructive than he is.
So, to catch you up on him and my interactions, lets just go over a few highlights:
I’m reminiscing for a moment. The time was once when I smashed men’s hopes and dreams just before I ate their souls. It was a good time. Those were the days.
That being said, I’m pretty ecstatic with the days I have now. ;)
